I splurged on this item for the holidays for myself. I like to spend
cold winter nights under a cozy throw with fuzzy slippers by the
fireplace. Once I went upstairs to go to bed, though...I lost the cozy
feel and I always wished I could have a fireplace in my bedroom. Not
really having the money to install a "real" fireplace...I looked into
the "fake" options. This unit hangs on the wall like a painting. It
really is easy to do (I did it myself in about half an hour) and takes
up no room at all. Now I can continue the cozy feeling when I climb into
bed. I love the automatic timer shut off option so I can fall asleep
and know that it won't stay on all night. The only thing that is not
perfect about it is that the sound that it makes is a fan blowing sound
(necessary I know) and there is no fire crackling sound. I have
attempted to resolve this issue by playing nature sounds of fireplace
noise. All I need now is the fireside candle from yankee candle and I
will have the entire effect! It is a great way to spend the money if you
love to sit fireside!
